Product Description
The Elliptical machine Provides a total body (legs, hips, buttocks, arms & shoulders), low-impact, cardiovascular workout for all family members, regardless of ability level. This unit resembles a walking or jogging machine. Your feet move in a natural elliptical motion, providing a no-impact workout for less stress on the joints. As you walk, your hands grasp poles that move in conjunction with your leg motion. This results in a smooth, fluid movement that tones arms, chest, back, hips, legs, and glutei. Better than a treadmill! Burns 5 times more calories than walking. Adjustable resistance dial. Dimensions: Length-34", Width-24", Height-60". Highest quality construction that will last for years that is comparable with any of the major manufacturers at a fraction of their cost. Instruction manual and all necessary tools for easy home assembly are included. Full factory warranty. Weight: 60 lbs. Compare similar machines at $249 and up! Buy direct from the factory and save! CUSTOMER COMMENTS: I just wanted to let the staff at golf outlets know that I love my elliptical bike. This particular bike is really a smooth ride and easy on the ankles, knees, hips and back. I've attached some before and after pictures so you can see what this machine did for me!!! A colleague of mine was so impressed at how fast i lost the weight he came over my house to see this machine that I'd been talking about, it took him all of 30 seconds of riding it before he asked me where he could purchase one! 1 out of 5 stars Product fell apart   January 8, 2009
I purchased this elliptical in September and have used it only when the weather has been nasty (too rainy or icy to walk outside). The days it has been used it has been 1-2 miles at a time, meaning over four months, most of which I have walked outside rather than using the elliptical. After very little use it started making a noise, my husband tightened the bolts. The next time it made a loud noise and a nut and washer actually fell out. Tonight it started making a noise again, then the pedal started making a noise and kind of jerking - my husband took the cover off only to find the front axle is moving about - it is wearing out the hub that the small sprocket is attached to. I have little shavings all over my floor. It is unusable - I am not happy at all with the fact that this has fallen apart with so little use. Please note - the broken part is the part that was actually assembled when we received it! It is not what we put together, Hmmm. Don't buy it! If the company makes this right - I will repost.

3 out of 5 stars Basic is what you want?   January 8, 2009
I have to say that is very easy to ensemble. But after two days of use, one the nuts came out very easily, it didn't fall apart or something similar, but after tighten back the nut, it came out again after 30 minutes of training.
A manual of exercises along with the machine would be nice, but it doesn't even bring a greeting card!
It's basic and it fulfills the purpose of walking elliptically, no less, no more.

4 out of 5 stars Great for the money~!   January 6, 2009
Took about 45 minutes to put together and works great. Directions are somewhat fuzzy, so take your time and TIGHTEN THE BOLTS EVERY SO OFTEN and it won't fall apart. So far so good, and I do recommend it. I did put the peddles on backwards the first time because the directions are shady, but just take your time and it will work well. Only complaint, the computer does not work.

4 out of 5 stars pleasantly surprised   January 6, 2009
I bought this certain elliptical because I have a tiny room and a limited budget, so if that's what your situation is then I would suggest this machine. It took awhile to build, not because it was a complicated process but because the instructions are TERRIBLY written, the way they list the materials makes you think they forgot to send you certain things, because the nuts and bolts are already tightened onto one another. Also the figures that are supposed to accompany the steps are packed in only 2 pictures where everything is all jumbled, some of it is even mispelled, like it'll say the "pivot faces the rear" and then in the picture to aid the written step will say "the pivot faces the reel". I built it myself and it took about 2 hours just because of confusion. In reality there aren't many steps to it.

I'm female, 5'8, and it feels pretty sturdy and a good size, the rotation doesn't feel too small or anything like some inexpensive ellipticals feel that you'd find in places like walmart of sport authority. I have carpeting in my room and it rocks back and forth a bit because of this, so it would probably be better on hardwood flooring if you have the option. There are mini wheels on the front so it's really easy to move around.

There are little things that are a little annoying about it, but you get what you pay for, and really in the end it works up a sweat like it's supposed to so no complaints about that. The bars have an option of either being able to move or staying in one spot which is a great feature, it's easy to remove them in case you need to keep it in a closet like I do and free up space. It's not squeaky, but it does make noise as the wheel spins, but nothing that can't be drowned out by the tv or headphones. The "computer" that comes with it is not anything special and probably not very accurate, so it's easier just basing time off of a regular clock and if you are interested in monitoring calories burned and stuff like that I'd recommend buying a quality heart rate monitor. It leans forward a bit so your toes are forced to the end of the pedal plate, but nothing that a 30inch 2 by 4 won't be able to fix like some other reviews had recommended. If you're expecting the kind of ellipticals you find in a gym, you'll be disappointed, but for the money and size it's a very decent machine and exactly what I was looking for and better then any of the 200 and below priced ellipticals I tried out in the stores

4 out of 5 stars A Good Value   January 2, 2009
I use this daily and have had it for over a month now. I found the moving handle set up uncomfortable and much prefer using it with the handles in the stationary position, with free weights for my arms.

I love the small foot print of this device! It's barely noticeable in the corner of my living room!

It does make a slight rasping noise when I go backwards, but so far it's remained quiet and does not appear to affect performance.

One of the common complaints about this model is that your feel tend to slide forward as you work out. It's my experience that ALL elliptical type trainers make your feet slide forward...I have never worked out on one that didn't, this one is no exception, but I think the foot pads are comfortable and sturdy.

Another complaint: that it's unstable or rocks with use. I've noticed some movement and have it placed on carpet (there is some give factored in to the movement) but I haven't had any balance/stability problems, and neither have my nephews who actually ENJOYED working out on it during their Christmas visit!(it's by the TV) :)

The major complaint in other reviews: that it falls apart, is easily remedied and is also addressed in the owners manual: TIGHTEN TWO BOLTS EVERY THIRTY DAYS.

I don't see this as a design flaw or a sign of a low quality product-expensive bicycles also require occasional tightening and adjusting of moving parts, that's just physics people!

I keep the included multi-tool and a few allen wrenches in a plastic back next to my cross trainer to remind me and it takes literally two minutes of my time, well worth it!

A great value for my money. I plan to keep it tightened and in working order for as long as I can! I'd recommend this to someone on a budget who wants a sturdy, dependable machine with a small footprint.
